Tory Lanez’s father screams in courtroom after guilty verdict

Tory Lanez’s father is said to have caused turmoil inside and outside the courtroom after his son was found guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion.

On Friday, Dec. 23, a 12-person jury convicted Tory Lanez of all three counts related to the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion in July 2020. According to Law & Crime Senior Reporter Megann Cuiffthe announcement of the verdict provoked an immediate revolt from the Canadian rap-crooner’s father who screamed in court.

“Crazy and downright chilling scene in the courtroom as his father and stepmother cried out about the cruel injustice,” Cuniff tweeted. “Tory Lanez’s dad stood up and yelled. ‘It’s a mean system!’ He yelled at the prosecutors that they were evil and knew exactly what they had done here, his stepmother stood up screaming and screaming, father was screaming about “Roc Nation”.

Tory Lanez was reportedly handcuffed on the spot and led out of the courtroom as the wild scene continued and deputies attempted to subdue rowdy court members.

“Tory Lanez was taken into custody at the scene, led away in handcuffs by sheriff’s deputies,” Cuniff reported. “There were six people total in the courtroom, two at the door and four behind Lanez, and there was quite a scene when they tried to control Lanez’s father and stepmother… A woman in the gallery raised her hand as Tory’s father was shouting about Roc Nation and the wicked injustice, repeating “In the name of Jesus!” The deputies were forcing them all out into the hallway and telling the grandstand that we had to remain seated.”

Apparently Jay-Z, founder of the management of Roc Nation, who manages Megan, was the source of the ire of the furious members of the gallery.

“A woman turned around and looked at the reporters sitting behind her, including me, and said, ‘Jay Z is a bitch. Report that: Jay Z is a bitch,'” Cuniff posted.

Tory’s father continued his rant outside the courtroom.

“It’s not over. It’s not over. God doesn’t lose,” he was captured on video shouting in front of a gathered crowd of supporters. “I know it’s meanness.”

Before making his big outing, Tory’s dad also railed against Roc Nation.

“Roc Nation, you’re going to collapse!” he shouted at the top of his voice before jumping into a waiting SUV.

After a two-week trial, Tory Lanez was found guilty of one count of assault with a semi-automatic firearm, carrying a loaded and unregistered firearm in a vehicle and grossly negligently discharging a firearm to cause bodily harm. He faces up to 20 years in prison when sentenced on January 27, 2023.
