The mystery behind the NJ Gov’s new hairstyle. Phil Murphy Solved
One of the biggest political mysteries of 2022 has been solved: what’s going on with Governor Phil Murphy’s hair?
Ever since his first election in 2017, Murphy sported a cropped hairstyle showing off his widow’s top. But this year his hair has started to grow back, suggesting the 65-year-old was changing his appearance for a presidential election in 2024.
During an interview on Fox 5 New York, Murphy revealed the truth. It was the idea of the woman who cut his hair.
“One day, six or eight months ago, she said to me, ‘Mr. Murphy, you have no hair. Why do you keep coming here and cutting them? You should let that grow,” Murphy told Rosetta Scott. “I said ‘you know what, Miss Kim, that makes a lot of sense.'”
Murphy told Scott he was aware of the speculation about the political reason, but said that was not the reason for changing his ‘doo.
“It’s not. It has nothing to do with it,” the governor said.

And the White House?
As for a possible 2024 presidential race, Murphy said he was confident President Joe Biden would run for re-election.
“There’s no doubt in my mind as we sit here President Biden is up for re-election. All signs point to him earning it, he’s had a crazy year. We’re going to be behind him 1,0000%,” Murphy said.
