Hairstylist and TikToker Alexis Rex (@rexartistry) posted a hilarious TikTok comparing the behavior of Millennials and Gen Z customers in the hair salon, and viewers are losing precision.
Rex is a hairstylist who perfectly captured the generational divide between millennials and zoomers in a fun video parodying how her millennial customers act in comparison to her millennial customers. Not only does the skit make viewers hysterical about its relatability, but it also gets people thinking about the different experiences millennials and zoomers have had growing up.
In the clip, Rex portrays a shy millennial woman cautiously entering the living room.
“Hi miss, how are you? It’s so good to see you. I’m so excited,” Rex’s millennial character says quietly before doing a little excited dance while making sure she doesn’t take too much space.
Rex’s millennial character displays the same anxious energy when he’s in the living room chair. Afraid of embarrassing the hairdresser, she nervously shoves her purse into the side of the chair, then launches into a very specific description of how she wants her hair to look natural and as if she didn’t. never done.
The clip then cuts to a shot of Rex as his Gen Z persona bursts into the living room with a “Hey Queen!” While stripping off her outerwear, she says, “Let’s do this fucking hair cause it’s a mess! It’s a wreck,” before leaving his coat and bag in the middle of the floor.
“OK Miss. Let’s do this. Let’s kill my hair,” Rex’s Gen Z character proclaims as he sits in the chair. Fucking different b***. Fucking different person,” she said, snapping her fingers at each punctuation.
“Can you do this? Let’s do it. I don’t care. How much does it cost? OK, done,” Rex’s Gen Z character casually says before describing that she wants a haircut. with “so much texture”, finally deciding on a wolf cut that is going to be “so fucking killer”.
TikTok viewers loved the millennial and Gen Z precision
Rex’s video totally killed viewers with its precision.
“The Millennial handbag is the most relevant thing I have ever seen,” one user commented.
“Millennials have literally been told we’re a pain our whole lives, and it shows,” one TikToker said.
“Gen Z fully possesses the ability to take up space,” observed one viewer.
Based on the comments, Gen Y could arguably use a little Gen Z attitude.
