Tekken 8 Key Art and Official Character Portraits of Jin, Kazuya, Jun, Jack-8, Law, Lars, Paul, and King Revealed

After months of waiting and teasing, fans finally got to see a little more of Tekken 8 in action at The Game Awards 2022 last week along with a lot of stuff.

Along with the new trailer, Bandai Namco has also revealed the official key art for Tekken 8 as well as the official portraits of the game’s 8 confirmed characters so far – Jin Kazama, Kazuya Mishima, Jun Kazama, Jack-8 , Marshall Law, Lars Alexandersson, Paul Phoenix and King.

As for the main visual, Jin and Kazuya are shown facing opposite directions in their new suits, with the father having wing-like shadows and a flaming chain around his back while the son appears to be crumbling down below. .

The stylistic choices and story details we’ve seen so far make it clear that this is Jin’s final battle against his dear old father to finally break the shackles of his family’s and his family’s violent past. Devil Gene.

So yeah, a bunch of burning, broken chains seems fair enough while Jin fading could represent the destruction of his old self or trying to hold on to what’s left of the light.

Each character has also received an all-new makeover, with Bandai Namco rebuilding its models from the ground up and giving them new costumes for the new era.

Jun is of course one of the most interesting designs to see in full considering that she mostly remained hidden by the light in the trailer.

Her new design shares many of the same patterns as her previous looks, although she is now a bit more regal in appearance with a longer dress and hairstyle.

It’s also worth noting that Jin and Lars seem to have adopted Jun’s white and black color scheme with their own red and blue + gold accents respectively.

These character renders also give us a much closer look at Law’s absolutely ripped body as well as Paul finally letting his hair down for a change.

It looks like there won’t be any more Tekken reveals until the Tekken World Tour Finals next February, but the community still has plenty to sink their teeth into for now.
