On February 2, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment revealed that it generated $567 million in revenue for the nine-month fiscal year ended December 31, 2022. Overall, Sony Pictures operating profit fell 83% to $197.4 million from operating profit of $1.16 billion in the prior year period. Revenue fell 28% to $2.57 billion from $3.58 billion a year earlier.

Sony attributed the decline in operating profit/revenue to unfavorable comparisons to last year’s quarter, which included Spider-Man: No Coming Home And Venom: let there be carnage income, among other versions.
