What some call the holiday season, we call it gift guide season. This means that I, along with every other publisher in the industry, have spent more hours than I would like to count browsing through everything on the market. I’ve identified gifts for him, for her, for your aunt, your sister, your friend’s cousin’s fiancé, and as you can imagine, I’ve flagged a few items of personal interest along the way. The items in question, also known as My Own Fantastic Wish List, range from the indulgent (cashmere socks) to the opulent (a Cartier watch), all of which you can shop below.

Few things are nicer than a pair of cashmere socks. And I always look at the classic silhouettes of Comme Si by Jenni Lee. I dream of wearing them with anything from mary janes to sandals to loafers – or, let’s be honest, lounging around my house.

Like the designer herself, I’ve recently been obsessed with metalware, especially the more austere retro allusions to mid-century Italian design. Although this particular pitcher has just the perfect amount of playfulness thanks to the curvy handle.

I love what Rue de Verneuil does with their simple tote design. I already have a mini in heavy rotation, but I considered the larger size for a work tote or weekend bag.

Candles are delicate gifts, as is anything to do with perfume. However, this tomato candle from Flamingo Estate is so evocative of cooking that I think it’s about as universally enjoyable as it gets.

Cabana Magazine is more than just a magazine. They are elegant tomes that deserve a place on your coffee table as much as anything else. Plus, I think a subscription is a fantastic thing to get for someone you love – truly a gift that keeps on giving. (And it only comes twice a year, so you won’t end up with a pile of unread magazines).

I spent years drooling over Cartier’s timeless Tank watch. They perfectly blend the feminine and masculine elements into a design that I would love to wear basically every day of my life.

Due to my slightly nonsensical reading habits, I have amassed quite a library. I like the idea of something to personalize the interior of my collection and to make sure those I loan out go home.

I can’t help but be drawn to the concha dinnerware from Carolina Irving & Daughters. (Fair warning: it’s easy to quickly fall into the deep recesses of their well-organized Instagram feed). Instead of yet another dish, I am currently looking at these candle holders.

On the darkest days of January, all I can muster in terms of outfit is a chunky sweater and a pair of jeans – so I better make a really good sweater, right? I hope to rock this hand-knitted option from Janessa Leone all winter long.

I’ll take any excuse to rest my tired soles and collapse on the grass in Central Park. Needless to say, I keep the park covers in heavy rotation. The one from Longchamp with the geometric art of Kristine Five Melvaer is a pretty lofty option, and it rolls up for easy (and chic) carrying.

Everyone appreciates a great t-shirt, regardless of style. Petit Bateau is a proven staple (with Carolyn Bessette’s stamp of approval). I have both their short sleeve shirts and tank tops, so the long sleeve version is at the top of my list.

I have a very feminine shoe moment – nothing I love more than a menswear-inspired look with a delicate (in this case metallic) shoe choice. These Aeyde mary janes have the perfect toe shape and I’m obsessed with the silver hue of the leather.
