LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–trioscope, the revolutionary entertainment and tech company behind Netflix The Liberator, today announced the closing of the first tranche of the bridge financing, led by KRAFTONInc., a collective of independent development studios investing in multimedia entertainment.
Recognized for introducing an entirely new path to hybrid entertainment that merges live action with CG to create compelling visual worlds, Trioscope will use this investment to further grow its business and brand globally.
Trioscope’s expanded business now includes Trioscope Studios, which develops its own intellectual property and unique content, including that of Netflix the liberator; director George RR Martin produced Night of the Cooters; and To resume, a collaboration with Quality Films, with Quavo and Billy Zane. The company has acquired the exclusive rights to develop the popular graphic novel by Enki Bilal FREAK in a television series. Trioscope is collaborating with top talent including Ethan Hawke, George RR Martin and Vincent D’Onofrio, and is working on several unannounced series with Netflix, SHOWTIME, CBS Studios and more.
Trioscope also licenses its proprietary technology through the Trioscope platform, allowing third-party filmmakers and content producers to create visually stunning worlds at a fraction of the cost of the big budget. This fall, the company licensed its rig to London production house Oiffy for its next film. A winter journey, with John Malkovich.
Trioscope has also launched Takeover World, a fictional universe based on its To resume IP that will come to life in digital content, a blockchain-based strategic card game and a VIP club, the To resume movie franchise, experiential events, and more. This will give audiences the opportunity to contribute to narrative development and create their own takeover-centric content.
“Trioscope is delighted to partner with KRAFTON as we continue to expand our international footprint and cultivate our vision,” said LC Crowley, co-founder and CEO of Trioscope. “This round of funding will fuel our ability to move forward with the immersive technology-driven experiences and epic universes we synthesize.”
The news follows a very successful year for Trioscope, which has seen rapid growth thanks to a recent seed investment from BITKRAFT and Sony.
