A good hair day is all I want

Breakfast Babble: ED’s little space on the interwebs where we meet to discuss ideas and get ready for the day. We also judge things. Occasionally. Still. Either way, call it catharsis and join the people.

Remember when Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the writer and female lead of the 2016 BBC comedy-drama “Fleabag” said: “Hair is everything. We wish it weren’t so we could think about something else once in a while. But it is. It’s the difference between a good day and a bad day. We’re supposed to think it’s It’s a symbol of power, it’s a symbol of fertility. Some people get exploited for it and it pays your fucking bills. Hair is everything.

It makes me feel like hair is more than hair. Hair is beauty, time, money, strength and health. Anyone with a strand of hair on their head will understand the complicated relationship we share with them. It’s never under our control. We define our good and bad days based on how our hair looks.

Hair is so powerful, especially for women, because it regulates our emotions and influences our mood swings. We often refuse to acknowledge it, but we are obsessed with our hair. You can tell a lot about a person from their hair. Our identity depends eminently on our hairstyle.

A good hair day is all I want. Some mornings you may roll out of bed with a fresh mind and an upbeat attitude, ready to fight through the day, but if your hair is in bad shape, you know your day is already ruined. You feel like falling back under the covers and staying home. Of course, hair is important and personal.

A good hair day is my motivation and my mental support to do my daily tasks. It gives me confidence in myself and everything around me. It boosts my energy and gives me the courage to face difficult situations and people on a daily basis. It is true that if you look good on the outside, you feel good on the inside.

Hair is one of the most salient features that we first notice in a person. Hair plays a very important role in creating our first impressions. Some people have such particular and unique hairstyles that we remember them by their hair. More importantly, a good hair day can leave you feeling comfortable and organized in your life. On the contrary, a bad hair day simply ruins your mood and crushes your spirit.

Hair transformations can sometimes be very symbolic in people’s lives. We change our hairstyle to change certain perspectives of our life or simply to start fresh. This is why salon sessions are so peaceful and rejuvenating; this is where we will unload our emotional baggage. I can’t help but agree with Phoebe Waller-Bridge here: “Hair is everything.”

Good hair days are very important and rare at the same time. That’s why a new haircut always brings a smile.
